Folkestone Warren dog-friendly beach, Kent
Description
Beach accessed down steep pathway from parking on Wear Bay Road near Folkestone harbour. Its sandy at low tide and can be walked at high tide using the concrete walkway below the cliffs. Open to dogs all year - a real bonus in this part of the world. Monty my dog loves it.

It did the trick
Our collies love the beach so it was nice to give them a little taste while in Folkestone. The path from the carpark is very narrow in summer and lined with nettle, so don’t wear shorts! My advice would be to walk from the carpark on the sidewalk towards the playground and take the path to the beach from there. The path is uneven and steap so tread carefully.
The beach is popular with the locals so our dogs had plenty of friends to play with. The beach is lined with rocks so it wasn’t the best for playing fetch but it did the trick!
