Lovely Lakeland pub with dog friendly accommodation. Rooms very clean and dogs welcome in bar. Food - hearty and excellent. Walks to the fells or to Keswick from the inn. No need to drive if you want to leave the car at the inn for the day.

Walk
A great walk is to the top of Barrow Fell with stupendous views all around. Note, however - this is sheep country so leads needed ( unless you have a perfectly behaved, guaranteed non sheep chaser!).
