Great National Trust park with miles of walking. Lack of dog poo bins is a slight downside. Variety of areas: Lake side (water front); park; hills. Nice view of the castle. Plentiful benches for rests.

Balloch Park is clearly posted. Look for the large Co-Op store and the entrance is right opposite.

Good stop on the way back to Glasgow from Oban
The castle is closed but the toilets are open! great for a picnic and short walk with the dog. Some dogs were off the lead. Quite busy, but paved paths and plenty of seating.
