The beach is linked with a nature reserve. It is beautiful, perfect for dogs as it has a lot of coastline available. So your dogs can play in the dunes or down at the water. It is a popular location and so be prepared to meet other walkers.

GPS coords for car park: 56.7615, -2.4239 What3Words: ///boot.folks.sprays 2.1m height restriction to the car park but there is some more parking by the reserve visitor centre opposite. There are over 3 miles of beach line and you can park your car near the edge of the reserve and walk the quarter of a mile to the beach.

great Beach walk
For dogs and walkers alike this is a great stretch of beach where sand slopes gently into sea. Can be accessed also from slip road immediately after crossing bridge a mile to the north of montrose. Go past Steptoes recycling yard and park in car park at end of road. Walk 100 yards , across a footbridge and you are in the dunes.
