An astonishingly old pedigree for the original building here, dating back to William the Conqueror which is quite hard to imagine. Dogs are made welcome, and there's plenty of seating outside for meals and snacks as well as good dog walking space. The hotel has dog-friendly rooms. It's quite a quirky place and well worth investigating.
