Dog-Friendly pebbled beach plus access to a coastal path, Cornwall
Description
Menabilly Farm field parking O/S coordinate SX 096 510. Honesty parking is provided by Menabilly Farm, please do not abuse this privilege.Walking out from the field, turn right down the driveway toward Menabilly Farm house. Here there is a milk churn outside for visitors to place the 50 pence parking fee (correct as of April 2021). In my view, 50 pence is extremely good value for money. Once past the farm house and fields, the footpath reduces in width. It is banked on either side making it safe to let well behaved dogs off-lead. The solid surface is replaced by loose shingle, and the decent sharper, making it unsuitable for wheelchairs but a sturdy pushchair would be okay. At the end of the footpath there is a gate leading onto a predominately pebbled beach, as well as a coastal path heading in both directions. Dogs can run off-lead all year here, making it popular both with locals as well as visitors. All visitors are expected to take litter as well as dog excrement away with them, so please take plenty of poop bags.Retrace your steps after play time, or else explore the coastal path.

GPS coords for parking: 50.3288, -4.6760 Fresh water runs onto this beach in two locations which is a bonus. The first is to the right as you climb down the steps onto the beach, the second is across to the left in front a large house. When the tide is out, this part of the cove is quite sandy.
