Best dog walk in York (River Ouse/Clifton Ings), North Yorkshire
The river walk near Clifton Bridge is a great dog walk for dogs, as there are plenty of open spaces for frolicking, small beach areas for swimming, and plenty of other dogs to meet.

Farm cafe, dogs allowed outside. Heated patio. Nice walks from the cafe around the Benningborough Hall Estate

Nicely refurbished village pub. Dog friendly in the bar area, and it's smart and comfortable. Good outdoor seating area as well. Worth making a detour for.
It's easy to drive through the village and barely notice.
A massive forest to explore, with footpaths running in every direction. Total doggy bliss!

Small country inn within very easy reach of the A170 and a delightful dog walk from the door.

The White Horse is the highlight of this walk, and you can see its chunky features from the car park and for miles around.
Another typical Yorkshire village with that signature pattern of rows of cottages bordering a wide central street.
