M5 Junction 27 dog-friendly pub and dog walk, Devon
A large, friendly village pub backing onto the Grand Western Canal. Absolutely great for dogs, kids and walkers.

The pub here is a 16th Century building with beams, open fires and a touch of old England.
This is a dog walk that does exactly what it says on the tin: one path that winds through an avenue of rhododendron bushes, there and back. And the dog-friendly pub is a treat.
The pub is deceptive - bigger inside than you'd think from the car park, and it's strong on food too. The walk is an easy one to find, and dogs get a good off-lead run.
Dog-friendly pub in the centre of a Dartmoor village, and with a good dog walk from the door. It seems incredible that this seemingly remote place is so close to the A30.
There isn't a castle but legend says that this was the site of Arthur's Camelot. Whether this is true or not it is the site of an iron age hill fort.
This is a tremendous place to stop so allow plenty of time for dogs, kids and everyone to celebrate the big spaces and heritage here. Just wonderful.
