A30 dog-friendly inn and dog walk, Devon
A truly authentic pub experience that transports you back in time at least a century, maybe more. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming to dogs and drivers.

If Friar Tuck ran an inn, this could very well be it. The building itself is old, very old. As you enter you get the feel of centuries of hearty eating and full-bodied claret.
Update: new management is now in place (April 2023) and the pub is again open. Reviews particularly welcome.
Close to the A38 and a good stopping point just after Exeter. A truly atmospheric inn dating back to the 13th century.
Half mile bridle path walk accessible directly from both northbound and southbound services
Good to know about this dog-friendly hostelry just off the A38 and also close to M5 Junction 26.
