Country pub and dog walk off the M1 Jct 12, Bedfordshire
Welcoming dog-friendly village inn serving food just about all day. It's easy to spot, with a thatched roof and distinctive black and white timbers.

Unbelievable little town, very close to the A64 and it's like a time warp back to the 1950s (or thereabouts). The dog-friendly hotel is a massive building with a big car park, and next to the river.
Well worth stopping here, not just to walk the dog, but also to enjoy the atmosphere and gothic ruins of this ruined abbey. Great place for a picnic if you're organised enough.
Dog-friendly pub and dog walk within walking distance of the M1 Services at Junction 23A.
A really delightful woodland walk for the dog, and then afterwards the nearby dog-friendly pub is welcoming and friendly.
A dog walk over fields on a public footpath.
Combination of a safe and tranquil park for dog walkers, and a fabulous museum that is a joy for kids of all ages to visit. The cafe and facilities are squeaky lovely too.
