Caen Vets 1, France
Many vet surgeries in France have at least one person who can speak some English. Google Translate on your phone can be very helpful when you need to explain something complicated.

Said to be the biggest sand dune system in Europe, and part of the national park, this is completely extraordinary. Too huge by far to be able to photograph, it's a 'must see' of the natural world.
A well-run and popular country inn with a dog walk in the North York Moors.
Don't be put off by the nerdy idea of a tram museum - this is an award winning day out, with a built-in walk and an amazing reconstruction of a village using 'found' buildings from far and wide.
An easy 2-mile circular walk with lots of lovely clean water for dogs to enjoy. Easy to spot pub opposite the church and close to the lower car park.
Dogs allowed on the beach in France The beach is divided, and the dog-friendly section is to the left (as you look at the sea).
A really good walk with the dog, and an impressive menhir as a bonus feature.
Terrific farm shop with a dog-friendly tea room and cafe. And it's really easy to get to from the A1, A47 and the A15 / Peterborough ring road too.
A popular family and dog day out, and there's plenty to enjoy in this good-humoured and fun country park.
The beach is close to the ferry arrival from Skye, and also a really good place to spot seals. We took the dogs for a romp here and then went on to the nearby Glenelg Inn for lunch.
A popular place to take a break as you can see the castle long before you reach the car park. The castle is thought to have been built around 1590 by the Clan MacLeod.
