Details

GPS coords for Woodlands car park: 51.5399, -0.6904  GPS coords for main car park: 51.5617, -0.6856  This is a National Trust property so is very expensive for just a dog walk, but is free if you are a National Trust member. You can park at either the Woodlands (Woods) Car park which is at the southern part of the estate or in the main car park which is in the north. I prefer the Woodlands car park (which is smaller one) since it gives direct access to the off lead areas. On busy days it can fill up and then you can use the main car park and keep them on a lead until you get to a lead free area. One of the things that I really like about Cliveden is that it is reasonable when other places are just too muddy or under water (e.g. Cookham Moor). Cliveden gets pretty busy at the weekends and during school holidays. If you have kids then there are often special activities on then. There are a reasonable number of dog bins around. There are WC facilities near the main car park and at the Woodlands Lounge (about half a mile from the Woodlands car park).

Full Walk Details

There are a whole set of walks that can be done.  When you arrive, ask for a map.  There is also an online map and I have included a screenshot of it.

In the off lead area, there are three main parallel tracks, about a mile long.  There is a very wide one (called the Green Drive), there is one that goes through the woods near the edge of the slope down to the river and there is one that goes along the edge of the river.  There are various crossing places, so you can zig zag between the main paths and there are also several alternative paths though the woods.

There are quite a few picnic tables and a play trail for the kids.  Most of Cliveden is accessible to dogs (they are not permitted in only a few areas - the Panterre, most of the water garden and the rose garden).  There are plenty of nice views.  I'd highly recommend the view of the house from by the Duke's Seat/Statue.   It is also nice to wander through the gardens (dogs on short leads), especially the long garden and the edge of the water garden) in the spring and summer.
