Description

We stumbled upon this fabulous little wood completely by mistake, and what a hidden gem it is! Looked after by the city council, this is a haven where beetles can busily burrow into rotting stumps while newts and frogs make merry in the little ponds that have formed in the woodland.

GPS coords for start of walk: 53.0034, -1.2202  On-road parking. No facilities here at all - nearest hope for loos and food would be the Morrison's supermarket at the end of the A6002 (filter left and then you can see it on the right).  In the same retail complex there's a Vets 4 Pets and McDonalds.
