Stretch of the Paws in Dufton, near the A66 at Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria
CA16 6DB
Description
If you're travelling across the A66, a great place to stretch your legs and dog's paws is in the village of Dufton - an attractive village which sits on the Pennine Way. With a free car park and plenty of easy on-street parking, it's an lovely place to stop and start walking up the Pennine Way road and onto a track. Ultimately this goes up to High Cup Nick but the first mile & a third it's a quiet road which only serves one property, so little chance of meeting any vehicles. Pleasant views looking back over the Eden Valley.
