Description

This can be either a beach walk, or a trail through the adjacent nature reserve.   The beach itself is large and generally deserted, and there is also a path - running parallel to the lane - which stretches for miles.

There is also plenty of space in the nature reserve, and you may be able to spot the site of a motte and bailey castle, or the remains of Thomas a Becket's Priory, or even a Neolithic barrow.

Full Walk Details

This is a beach walk, where the wide open space is ideal for dogs.   Access to the beach is from behind the WC block. Beyond the sea-grassy beach there are mud flats, note the safety warnings, and further out still is the sea. So not a swimming opportunity here.    The beach itself is large, and there is also a path - running parallel to the lane - which stretches for miles.
