Full Walk Details
Our dogs loved the walk here, but there is a bit of a boring road walk to start with even though it's just 4 minutes. To get around this we suggest you drive down the lane by the side of the Tally Ho, Radley Bottom. It's signposted towards North Denford. After a short distance you'll spot a group of cottages with a sort of shared lay-by for parking. Park here with consideration and then walk down the lane towards North Denford, pass an overgrown electric substation, and turn left at an almost hidden footpath sign at the first of two farm gates. There's also space here for a small car to park as long as you don't block the entrances. Now follow the line of the hedgerow along one field, through into a green space between fields, and then turn right onto a public footpath just before the start of woodland ahead (not the copse on your left). Walk ahead for just over half-a-mile and you'll reach a track/byway. At this point you can carry on walking in the same direction for a further mile which will mean you have walked well over 2 miles from the start. Rather than do a circular walk with a lot of on-lane walking, turn around when you're ready and return the same way. You'll be able to hear the motorway quite loudly - it's just the width of a large field away from the path.
