A chance to explore some historic walks with the dog. Refreshments at a treasure of a village pub, with a big welcome even if you're just popping in for a coffee. They also do dog-friendly B&B which is great if you're after a country weekend and longer dog walks on the ancient Ridgeway.

Full Walk Details
4-mile circular walk Turn left onto Main Street and walk down to the church. Bear left onto South Street and walk on the raised pavement and keep going until you suddenly see the vale open up in front of you, just before allotments, and a signed public footpath to the right. Turn right here and walk for a couple of minutes to a path crossroads. Turn left here and then walk straight ahead on this path until you reach the Ridgeway after just over a mile. Turn left and enjoy the view from the high ground. Pass a significant turn to the right and then take the next left turn to Segsbury Hill Fort. Follow the lane downhill and back to Letcombe Regis. Short walk You can drive to the iron age hill fort along Warborough Road (signed as a no-through road) and enjoy the view and the ancient surroundings without the trek to get there. Informal parking, and the lane is narrow.
