Description

Even though the car park is directly off the A9 northbound, after just a few paces along the path, you would never know you're anywhere near a main road. There are a variety of different paths to follow, we took the 5k one which was a fairly flat, easy to follow path through the forest. The car park is free and there is a fabulous dog friendly cafe, the North Gateway Cafe with a lovely menu and some delicious home baked cakes. There's an outside space but doggies are allowed inside too. It's an easy stop if you're headed north but as it's on a dual carriageway bit of the A9 so if you're headed southbound you'd need to drive a little bit past it and turn right at the next junction and head north to access the car park.

GPS coords for car park: 57.4437, -4.1495 What3Words: ///stages.stability.feed  The cafe had ramp access and a disabled toilet but the forest paths might be a bit uneven for wheelchairs but they looked like they'd be fine for those off-road style strollers.

Full Walk Details

As you turn into the car park, go right for the cafe and left for the forest walks.  There's a sign at the start of the path, which is to your right as come in to the car park.
