Description

A perfect place for dogs to let off steam in this walk across fields and woodland quite close to Milton Keynes and it seems that few people know this fantastic dog walking place exists.

Full Walk Details

Length of walk: 1.5 miles / 35 minutes

Leave the car park and take the track on your right, going through a gate, until you see a waymarker with a yellow arrow. Follow the arrow direction into the field ahead. About half way over the field turn right and you will pass a pond to your left. Continue to the waymarked footbridge and stile and then turn half-right into a newly planted wood, also waymarked.

At a crossing of paths, continue straight on to a gate. A fishing lake will be on your right hand side. Continue along the left side of the field, following the path, until you reach the car park.

In the woodland section of this walk you may well see Muntjac deer. These are the smallest deer in the UK , and were imported from China and Taiwan to London zoo in 1840, and then re-homed in the gardens of Woburn Abbey in around 1900. Since then, they have become a familiar sight in Midlands woodlands. Muntjac are the size of a large dog, and not aggressive.
