Description
This is our local woods, which we visit on a regular basis. This woods is commonly used by dog owners so expect to encounter other people on your journey. There are also deer in the woods as well as rabbits and other wild life.

A number of seats and new bridges have been placed in the wood to allow you to enjoy your walk better. Clearings have been cut to show views of the surrounding area. There is an information board, and a leaflet available in Laurencekirk which allows visitors to learn a little more about this wood. The information board and leaflet show where the old curling pond was, and where the ancient Kings Road cut through the wood - why not try to find them for yourself?
Full Walk Details
You can keep to the main path, which runs in a circle around the woods or take one of the many cut throughs if you enjoy being a bit more off the beaten track. It will take you anywhere between 25 minutes to 45 minutes to walk around the woods on average.
