A69 Roman Temple of Mithras dog walk, Northumberland
NE46 4DB
Description
On the rainswept day we were here it was hard to imagine Roman soldiers getting excited about Mithraic rituals here, let alone bull sacrifices and pagan fun. Plenty of dog walking though and no cows to worry about.
