Full Walk Details
If you're in need of a very short walk with the dog, ask at the bar for Toby's short walk! This one is also ideal for a late night or early morning doggie outing. For a longer walk Turn right from the pub and walk down the lane to the end (about 5 mins) and enjoy the traditional whitewashed cottages as you go. Bear right on Crooked Gate and stay left at the fork. Walk to the end and reach Parkend Lane. Turn left (ignore a footpath post off to the right). In a moment take the signed footpath on the left, at a wooden gate and walk up through a meadow. You'll quickly reach a path T-junction. Turn right. The bit is easy if you stick to the bridleway and make this a linear walk. You can go for a couple of miles and eventually come to the back of the Sizergh Estate on the bridleway. You'll also spot lots of other paths as you go, and if you have a map app then it's fun and easy to make up a circular route as you go. But you do need the map. We use the OL7 Explorer.
