A truly traditional country ale house, set in the beautiful Luddesdowne Valley. First opened in 1713, we are a pub in the true sense of the word based around good beer, a convivial atmosphere and friendly conversation. Free from children, piped music and gaming machines, the landlords have replaced these with an environment that encourages conversation and offers traditional pub games - Bar Billiards, Crib, Dominoes, Darts, Shove Ha'penny, Shut the box. If you are unsure how to play, there is always someone to help you. No Wi-Fi and mobile phones are discouraged.
