Description
A former clay pit that has been transformed into a fine country park. It's an excellent place for walking, particularly around the lake, and is very popular with local dog walkers.

Excellent stopping place
Easy reach from the motorway and excellent stop on our travels up north.
Our two spaniels loved exploring the many tracks and wide open fields as well as a dip in the lake.
We stopped here for 45 mins but could have walked for longer or less as desired.
Spaniel rating 5*.
For those travelling with two legged kids, there is a playground right next to the car park. No dogs allowed in the playground but great as a treat after a nice long walk.
