Return to M62 Junction 37

Boothferry Bridge River Walk

Cross the stile in the right hand corner of the car park and turn right. Walk up the bank and over another stile to join the Trans-Pennine Trail. Go under the ferry bridge, taking care to keep dogs away from the lifting machinery, towards a small group of houses. The broad footpath runs between the houses and the river and then opens out so that there are fields on the right and the river on the left.
Keep walking on this long-distance trail to your own half-way point, and then turn round to retrace the route back to the car park.
One of the glories of this walk is that there are no hills, or even slopes, and the path stays firm and shoe-friendly in wet weather.
Facilities
